AI Report: Our vision on the 25 recommendations for France
The AI Commission's report proposes 25 recommendations to make France a leader in AI. Yxir highlights the importance of training, strategic investments, computing power, and global governance. The goal: to integrate AI in an effective, ethical, and innovative way.
The Artificial Intelligence Commission published on Wednesday 13 March, a crucial report for the future of France in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
This report, submitted to President Emmanuel Macron, contains 25 recommendations aimed at positioning France as a major player in the AI technological revolution
As Yxir, where AI plays a central role in our company, here is our opinion on some key points of the report.
AI awareness and training in France
AI awareness is essential for all stakeholders to understand its implications ๐
This includes businesses, policy makers and citizens. Education campaigns and training programmes must be rolled out at scale.
Workshops, conferences and online resources can help demystify AI and encourage its responsible adoption ๐ค
We believe it is essential, but we must distinguish these 2 different concepts.
On the one hand, training is of paramount importance. We have the academic capacity to develop the required skills.
It is therefore imperative to invest rapidly in this area to meet the growing demand for skills. On the other hand, awareness, often equated with acculturation, plays a prime role in businesses.
Indeed, AI can only be truly useful if it is applied to concrete cases. To imagine and design these use cases and maximise their added value, it is essential to understand how AI can help solve specific problems.
However, it should be noted that awareness should not monopolise all investments, at the risk of remaining solely on concepts without actually moving on to value creation.
Thus, by clearly distinguishing between training and awareness, we can better direct our efforts towards a successful integration of AI in our organisations and our societies.

Investment in Digital Companies
For France to become an AI leader, it must invest in digital companies ๐ถ
This includes supporting start-ups, research and development, as well as collaboration with major tech companies.
Investment funds and incubators can play a key role in this effort ๐ค
We believe it is a Priority, but we must have a clear vision. Investing is unquestionably necessary.
However, before doing so, it is crucial to have a clear vision of the future we want to create for our society, our economy and our industry in order to avoid wasting resources on experiments that do not lead to a significant transformation.
It is also an opportunity to dream of tomorrow's world.
Compute Power
AI requires considerable compute power ๐งฎ
France must invest in advanced IT infrastructure, including supercomputers.
This will allow complex research to be conducted, sophisticated AI models to be trained and to remain competitive on a global scale ๐ค
We believe it is Strategic. Our IT infrastructure must be at the cutting edge.
High-performance computing (HPC) clusters and dedicated AI server farms are essential like Exaion ๐
Personal Data Protection
AI relies on data, but it is crucial to protect individuals' privacy ๐ฅฝ
France must balance innovation with data confidentiality.
Robust regulations, such as GDPR, are essential to ensure personal data is used ethically and securely.๐ค
We think that: In a world where information and data are widely shared, the challenge of personal data protection emerges as an unavoidable priority.
But, faced with this reality, it is imperative to rethink our approach, moving beyond the traditional framework of intellectual property.
In the era of the digital revolution and the acceleration driven by artificial intelligence, competitiveness is no longer measured solely by holding patents, but by the ability to rapidly integrate these digital technologies.
We must therefore embrace a paradigm shift, where data protection becomes an essential pillar of our industrial and digital strategy without slowing down innovation.
The integration of new digital technologies should no longer be a one-off transformation project involving a group of experts but must be integrated into the daily processes of the company.
Experimentation in Public Research
Universities and public research institutes must be experimental laboratories for AI ๐ฌ
Interdisciplinary research projects, collaborations with industry and technology transfer initiatives can accelerate the adoption of AI in society ๐ค
We think that: Rather than viewing AI as a simple exception, we see in it a real opportunity to fundamentally rethink our approach to research.
AI pushes us to question our traditional ways of operating in the face of contemporary challenges and issues.
Rather than simply adapting to AI, we must use it as a catalyst to transform our practices and raise the standard of all our research projects.
Global Governance of AI
AI transcends national borders ๐
France must play an active role in creating global governance for AI. This involves diplomatic discussions, international partnerships and the promotion of common ethical standards.
Our voice must be heard in international forums to shape the future of AI in a responsible manner ๐ค
We think that: Rather than passively waiting for directives, we believe in the importance of creating clear visions right now at the French and European level regarding the place of AI in our future society.
By defining our objectives and values regarding AI, we position ourselves for rich and relevant global discussions.
It is essential to know where we want to go in order to effectively guide our actions and exchanges on an international scale.
*****
Together, let's build a future where AI enriches our lives, stimulates innovation and strengthens France's position as a major player on the global technology scene.
